"Stormy" Exec. Prod. denman just interviewed on werg 90.5 fm
preparations under way for "stormy" reading in pa.
One of our Executive Producers for "Stormy", DOMINIQUE DENMAN, has arrived in Erie, Pennsylvania, for media and press stops, and to begin rehearsals for the public readings of "Stormy" on May 16th, and 17th.
Mrs. Denman has performed in more than 25 productions including performances in "Dreamgirls", "Pippin", "Guys and Dolls", "Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope", and received rave reviews for her performance in "Ain't Misbehavin'”. In concert, Dominique has performed with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Stephanie Mills, Lalah Hathaway, Placido Domingo, and Mirella Freni.
She will serve as the Director for the public reading performances, as well as the Guest Speaker for the post-show "Q&A", and "Meet the Cast" sessions after each event.
Fellow Executive Producers, KELLIE C. TURNER, and MARCINHO SAVANT remained back at home office, to hold down the fort while Denman is on the road. Turner will join Denman for the actual performances. Savant will stream the readings live from his office.
It is common for professional productions to "workshop", "try-out" out-of-town, and perform staged and semi-staged readings, all in the interest of perfecting the property. This developmental tool is critical in the creation of an original theatrical work.
"STORMY" will be performed at Gannon University's Schuster Theatre on May 16th, and May 17th at 8 p.m. Admission is $10 per person. Tickets will be sold at the door - on a first come, first served basis. This one weekend only engagement supports the Schuster Theatre's participation, and performance, at the 2014 International Collegiate Theatre Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland in August.
